BEAMIDE offers advanced tools for the analysis and simulation of radiation effects on electronic and electromechanical devices. It also provides Radiation Hardness Assurance (RHA) testing and thermal vacuum (TVAC) testing in accordance with space industry standards. Many of our services have been used in various European projects.
The main project behind the start-up BEAMIDE is MRADSIM: an innovative software designed to simulate radiation effects with parametric precision, fast processing times, and tailored additional features for various applications. It also includes a tool, available separately, for converting STEP files into GDML files, suitable for use in simulation software like Geant4.
Thanks to irradiation setups designed by the BEAMIDE team, the company collaborates with various accelerators and irradiation sites that can provide RHA testing according to ESA/ECSS, NASA, JEDEC, IEEE, MIL, and other standards. Some of the services are performed at the Perugia headquarters, while others are carried out at various external laboratories across Italy and Europe, using technical guidelines and instruments developed by BEAMIDE to gather the necessary data.
BEAMIDE provides thermal and thermal vacuum (TVAC) testing services. Our local TVAC setup can operate within a temperature range of -70/+180°C and down to a vacuum pressure of 10⁻⁷ mbar (depending on sample degassing). The company also offers humidity testing, with temperature ranges from +10 to +95°C and relative humidity between 10% and 98%, along with other thermal tests, both locally and in collaboration with external sites, with temperature ranges up to -200/+200°C.
With years of experience in system design and radiation hardness studies, BEAMIDE offers clients the opportunity to train their personnel through specialized workshops and courses.
