  • MRADSIM Webinar: Radiation Simulation — March 24, 2026

INTRO:

Beamide is hosting its first public MRADSIM webinar on March 24, 2026. This free, one-hour live session is designed for engineers and researchers working in space, nuclear, and defense sectors who need Monte Carlo radiation simulation — without the weeks of C++ setup that Geant4 typically requires. The session will be delivered in both English and Chinese.

Whether you are already using MRADSIM or simply exploring what modern radiation simulation tools look like in practice, this webinar will give you a concrete, hands-on look at real workflows.

WHAT WE WILL COVER:

The session runs 60 minutes plus a live Q&A, structured as follows:

1. Introduction to Beamide & MRADSIM

A brief overview of who we are, what MRADSIM is, and why we built it. We will cover how MRADSIM sits on top of the Geant4 physics engine and what that means for accuracy and validation.

2. CAD → GDML Geometry Import (live demo)

One of the biggest bottlenecks in radiation simulation is geometry setup. We will demonstrate live how to import a real CAD assembly — STEP, STL, or IGS format — directly into MRADSIM, converting it to GDML in minutes rather than days of manual scripting.

3. Space Radiation Analysis: TID & SEE

We will walk through a complete Total Ionising Dose (TID) and Single Event Effects (SEE) analysis workflow for a satellite component, showing how MRADSIM handles shielding geometry, particle sources, and scoring — all through the GUI, no C++ required.

4. Dose Simulation Workflow

A practical demonstration of MRADSIM Dose, covering dosimetry setup, material definition, and post-processing results for both space and non-space applications.

5. Live Q&A

Bring your questions. Behçet will answer technical questions on simulation methodology, geometry import, physics validation, and how MRADSIM compares to other tools in your workflow.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

This webinar is relevant to:

– Radiation effects engineers at space agencies and ESA prime/sub contractors

– Systems engineers responsible for radiation hardening and shielding analysis

– Nuclear and defense engineers dealing with neutron and gamma environments

– Researchers and PhD students using Geant4 who want a faster geometry workflow

– Anyone evaluating Monte Carlo simulation tools for their team

PRESENTERS:

Behçet Alpat — Sr. Consultant, Beamide S.R.L. Physicist with decades of experience in particle physics and radiation simulation, formerly at INFN and CERN.

Talipjan Osman — Operations, Beamide S.R.L.
