Beamide: radiation simulation and detection

BEAMIDE was founded in 2021 in Perugia as a spin-off of the Italian National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN), obtaining national approval from the INFN’s Tech Transfer National Committee (CNTT). We develop advanced technologies to analyze the impact of radiation on various systems and components, used in a wide range of sectors: from medicine to space, from nuclear to IT.

Irradiation simulations

Radiation simulation solutions

We develop tools for the analysis and simulation of radiation effects on electronic and electromechanical devices. We also provide Radiation Hardness Assurance (RHA) testing and thermal vacuum (TVAC) testing, in accordance with industry standards. Many of our services have been used in various European projects.

Irradiation testing

Thanks to experimental irradiation configurations designed by the BEAMIDE team, the company collaborates with various accelerators and irradiation sites that can provide RHA testing in accordance with ESA/ECSS, NASA, JEDEC, IEEE, MIL, and other standards.

We offer several tests at wide ranges of temperature and pressure to meet the needs of any application.

Mradsim software

The main project behind the start-up BEAMIDE is MRADSIM, a simulation software that ensures greater parametric accuracy, reduced processing times, and customized additional features.
